The injectable neuromodulators featuring the protein known as Botulinum Toxin Type A (Brand names Botox®/Xeomin®) are utilized as non-invasive means of rejuvenating the skin and minimizing the appearance of creases, wrinkles and fine lines.

Botox® and Xeomin® both function by actively blocking the nerve impulses adjacent to the injection site, thereby preventing future muscle contraction in that area.
